Illustrative example

Six reasons to stop typing during interviews.

Notes taken while you talk are thin, and notes written afterwards are late. Pin takes them for you, then puts them where the rest of the candidate already lives.

  • Questions before the call

Pin suggests what to ask, built from the job description, the resume and your thread with the candidate.

  • Joins on its own

Interviews Pin booked get the notetaker automatically on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams.

  • Video and summary

Every call is recorded, with a summary of what the candidate said and what happens next.

  • Intake calls too

Pin takes the notes when the hiring manager walks you through the role, so the brief matches the conversation.

  • Filed on the profile

Notes and the recording land on the candidate in Pin, and in your ATS if you connect one. Nothing to copy and paste.

  • Free on every plan

No add-on, no per-seat notetaker fee. It's included from the Free plan up.

What is Pin's AI Notetaker?

Pin's AI Notetaker joins your candidate interviews and hiring-manager intake calls, records the video, and writes a summary of what was said. Before the call, it suggests questions based on the job description, the candidate's resume and your conversation with them. After the call, the notes and the recording are saved to the candidate's profile in Pin.

Is Pin's AI Notetaker free?

Yes. The AI Notetaker is included in every Pin plan, including the Free plan. There's no add-on fee and no separate notetaker subscription.

Which meeting platforms does it work with?

Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Interviews that Pin books through AI interview scheduling get the notetaker automatically, so there's nothing to set up per call.

Does it record video?

Yes. Pin records the call and keeps the video with the summary on the candidate's profile, so anyone on the hiring team can go back to what was actually said.

Does it work for intake calls with hiring managers?

Yes. Pin joins intake calls too and writes intake notes: the must-haves, the trade-offs and the logistics the hiring manager agreed to, with the recording, so the search starts from what was said, not what was remembered.

Where do the notes go?

Onto the candidate's profile in Pin's recruiting CRM, next to your outreach history and pipeline stage. If you connect your ATS through one of Pin's 120+ integrations, they sync there too. You don't copy a transcript from one tool into another.

How is Pin different from a standalone AI notetaker?

A standalone notetaker starts cold when the call starts. Pin already knows the candidate: it found them, wrote the outreach, and booked the interview. That's why it can suggest questions before the call and file the notes in the right place after it, all in the tool you already use to source and reach out.
