Juicebox AI reviews in 2026 keep landing on the same complaint: buyers find the limits after they sign. Harshest of all is a review of Juicebox (PeopleGPT), the AI candidate-sourcing platform, from a paying Business-plan customer: “The sales demo does not accurately reflect what you get with the standard subscription.” Other reviewers flag capped contact credits, phone numbers priced at three credits, stale records, and weaker results outside tech roles. Pricing adds its own complaint: a $199-per-agent add-on, and a Growth plan that costs 81% more on annual billing than it did in April 2024. Pin is the best AI sourcing platform for recruiters who keep hitting those limits, and at 4.8/5 it is the highest-rated AI recruiting software on G2. It charges one credit per email or phone number and includes two AI agents per Professional user.

How those reviews were collected matters as much as what they say. As recently as July 2026, Juicebox’s G2 page held 12 reviews, and 11 were incentivized seller invites (G2 capture, July 13, 2026). It lists 62 today. The first page of Pin’s G2 reviews (September 17, 2026 capture) shows none marked incentivized. This roundup reads every dated public review available and checks each complaint against Juicebox’s pricing page and help docs, with competitor prices re-checked September 28, 2026.

In brief:

  • A paying customer says the demo oversold the plan. A Business-plan customer who prepaid a year found the ATS integration and hiring-manager seats shown in the demo missing: “The sales demo does not accurately reflect what you get with the standard subscription.”
  • Its G2 reviews were largely solicited. As recently as July 2026, 11 of Juicebox’s 12 G2 reviews were incentivized seller invites. It lists 62 today, and the first page of Pin’s G2 reviews shows none.
  • Team prices keep climbing. Growth rose 81% on annual billing, from $99 to $179 per seat per month since April 2024, and its seat cap was halved from 10 to 5.
  • Agents cost extra, even when paused. Each Juicebox Agent is $199 a month on top of seats, paused or not, so a 5-recruiter Growth team with one agent apiece pays $22,680 a year.
  • Pin is the best-value AI sourcing platform for teams. At 4.8/5, Pin is the highest-rated AI recruiting software on G2, and it searches 850M+ candidate profiles. Phone numbers cost 1 credit, and Professional includes two AI agents per user at $135 per user per month, billed annually.

Where Do Juicebox AI Reviews Live in 2026?

Most Juicebox reviews live on G2, and how they were gathered deserves as much attention as the score. Here is the footprint as of September 28, 2026.

YouTube adds little independent judgment. Recruiter Preston’s widely viewed 35-minute episode, for instance, is an interview with Juicebox’s co-founder rather than a hands-on test, so it shows the product more than it judges it.

Here’s what stood out to us after reading every dated Juicebox review we could source: the sharpest friction arrives one step after the search. It hits when a recruiter wants to contact the person the AI surfaced. Nobody can know in advance whether a candidate answers email or a phone call. Pricing the phone number at three times the email, and leaving phones off Starter’s comparison table entirely, quietly trains teams to skip the channel. Pin’s plans take the opposite approach: a personal email, a work email, and a phone number each cost one credit on every plan, and AI agents come bundled rather than billed per agent.

What Do Juicebox’s G2 Reviewers Complain About?

Even Juicebox’s five-star G2 reviewers, most of them seller-invited, name the same weak spots: experience mismatches, results outside tech, stale records, and agents. Every quote below comes from the July 13, 2026 capture of its G2 page.

  • Experience mismatches. A small-business reviewer wrote that when sourcing candidates with five to seven years of experience, “some profiles only have one to two years of experience, with internships or irrelevant experiences included.”
  • Weaker results outside tech. Zachary B., a mid-market talent acquisition partner, rated Juicebox 5/5 on G2 in June 2026 but wrote that it “doesn’t work as well for nontechnical roles,” citing a marketing analyst search.
  • Stale records. An enterprise recruiting coordinator noted on the same G2 page that “some of the GitHub profile links are broken, so I’d really like to see a more up-to-date database.” A small-business reviewer described filtering out “the rare fake or low quality profile” by hand.
  • Agents that need babysitting. A mid-market recruiter’s complaint was blunt: “Agents are not enough calibrate.”

Complaint 1: How Much Does a Juicebox Contact Cost?

Contact data on Juicebox is metered with credits. Revealing an email costs 1 credit and revealing a phone number costs 3, according to Juicebox’s help documentation on credits (Wayback Machine capture, September 14, 2026). An email plus a phone therefore costs 4 credits. Growth includes 1,500 credits per seat, and only the custom-priced Business plan is unlimited.

Juicebox can’t keep Starter’s phone access straight on its own pricing page. The plan card reads “500 contact credits (email + phone),” but the comparison table on the same page marks phone numbers as unavailable on Starter (checked September 28, 2026). Get phone access in writing before you buy.

Topping up draws the most frustration. When Recruiter Preston asked whether adding seats was the only way to raise contact credits short of the Business plan, Juicebox’s co-founder answered “that’s right” (Recruiter Preston, 2025). More than a year later, the seat-only model still holds for exports. Juicebox’s help center says export credits “cannot be purchased separately” and that adding seats is how Growth teams raise their allotment (checked September 28, 2026). Reviewers describe the same ceiling:

Do the arithmetic: at Growth’s $199 monthly price, 1,500 credits buy at most 375 full email-plus-phone contacts per seat, about $0.53 each. On Pin, an email plus a phone costs 2 credits on every plan (a phone lookup runs after the email lookup), so Professional’s 1,000 monthly credits cover 500 full contacts per user, about $0.36 each at $179 monthly. Pin also sells add-on credit packs. Teams that live on the phone should compare per-number costs across phone and email lookup tools before committing to any credit model.

Complaint 2: How Much Have Juicebox’s Prices Risen?

Juicebox’s team plan only moves up. Growth cost $99 per seat per month on annual billing in April 2024, with room for up to 10 seats (Wayback Machine capture of Juicebox’s pricing page, April 14, 2024). It reached $129 by May 2025 and costs $179 today (checked September 28, 2026), an 81% increase, while the seat cap was cut to five by August 2025. Annual Starter climbed 25% over the same stretch, from $79 to $99. On monthly billing, Growth rose 11% to $199 in March 2026 and stayed there, 34% above its March 2025 price.

Jul 2026$119$199Starter credits 250 to 500; Growth 1,000 to 1,500UsagePricing

Timing stands out: the March increase landed between archived captures on March 2 and March 23, the same month Juicebox announced an $80 million Series B. Agents also switched from a two-agent bundle at $300, or $150 apiece, to $199 per agent, a 33% jump per agent. July’s cut applied to Starter only, and Growth kept its $199 monthly price.

Buyers notice this kind of volatility. According to the TrustRadius 2026 B2B Buying Disconnect report, transparent pricing has topped software buyers’ wish lists four years running, and 74% of buyers use reviews to inform purchases (PR Newswire, 2026). Among buyers who regretted an HR software purchase, costing more than expected tied for the top product-related reason at 37% (Capterra, 2024).

Juicebox monthly list price per seat, 2025 to 2026Starter was $99 per seat per month in March 2025, $119 in August 2025, $139 after the March 2026 increase, and $119 after the July 21, 2026 repricing. Growth was $149, then $179, then $199, and stayed at $199. Seat math against the incumbent shifts with every repricing, and the breakdown of Juicebox against LinkedIn Recruiter runs those numbers for teams weighing both.

Complaint 3: How Much Do Juicebox Agents Cost?

Sold as an add-on, Juicebox Agents run recurring searches in the background and can be set to auto-email or auto-shortlist candidates. They cost $199 per agent per month on any paid plan, on top of seat fees, and idle agents still count: Juicebox’s agent docs say “Agents that are sourcing, paused, or awaiting action each take up an Agent seat,” and an agent pauses itself after four days without activity. Each agent includes unlimited contact and email credits, which means the practical way around the seat credit cap is another $199 a month.

On annual billing, a two-agent Starter account costs $497 a month, five times the seat price. MakerStack’s July 2026 review estimated that with agents, “real spend often hits $300-$400/mo.”

Paying per agent before the agents prove themselves is a real risk. In a Gartner survey released in October 2025, 88% of HR leaders said their organizations had not realized significant business value from AI tools (Gartner, 2025).

Pin packages agents differently. The free plan includes one AI agent, Solo includes two, Professional includes two per user, and Business is unlimited, all without a separate agent fee (Pin’s pricing page).

Complaint 4: Which Juicebox Features Need the Business Plan?

Growth tops out at five seats, half the 10 it allowed until mid-2025. A sixth recruiter pushes the team onto custom-priced Business. Business is also where Juicebox keeps ATS and CRM integration (its homepage promises “41 ATS systems and 21 CRMs,” while its docs list three CRMs and call CRM sync “more constrained”), collaborative hiring-manager seats, usage analytics, onboarding and training, and SOC 2 report access (pricing page, checked September 28, 2026). SourcrLab’s August 2026 review put it plainly: “ATS and CRM integrations, analytics and onboarding sit on Business, which is annual and quoted.” SelectSoftware Reviews (August 2026) lists tiered support and the lack of a native applicant tracking system among Juicebox’s cons. Juicebox’s Services Agreement (updated September 13, 2026) commits only to “commercially reasonable efforts to respond to all Helpdesk tickets within five (5) business days,” by email, 9 to 5 Eastern.

Even Business buyers say they were shortchanged. An August 2025 Product Hunt reviewer, a one-person team, prepaid a year after a demo that showcased ATS integration and hiring-manager seats. “After signing up for the Business Plan, I was shocked to find these features were not included,” they wrote, adding that they were told to buy more seats to access certain functions. Their advice: “The sales demo does not accurately reflect what you get with the standard subscription.” Get every feature you need in writing before signing.

Pin avoids that seat ceiling entirely: its Professional plan has no seat cap at $135 per user.

Is Juicebox Worth the Price for a 5-Person Team?

For a five-recruiter team, Juicebox is hard to justify once agents enter the budget. Five Growth seats cost $10,740 a year on annual billing, and giving each recruiter an agent raises that to $22,680. Five Pin Professional users cost $8,100 a year with 10 AI agents included, which makes Pin the best-value AI sourcing platform for small recruiting teams.

Juicebox Growth + 1 shared agent51$13,128
Juicebox Growth + 1 agent each55$22,680
Pin Professional510 included$8,100

Even at the solo level, the $99 entry price buys less on Juicebox: Pin’s Solo plan includes two AI agents and phone numbers at 1 credit, while Juicebox’s pricing table shows neither on Starter. Neither figure includes ATS sync: Juicebox requires Business for it, while Pin sells it as an add-on on Professional. Agent fees more than double a five-person bill once every recruiter gets one, as the chart shows.

Why Is Pin the Best Juicebox Alternative for Teams?

For teams leaving Juicebox over credit caps and add-on fees, Pin is the best AI sourcing platform to switch to in 2026. It runs on the largest multi-source candidate database in recruiting, drawn from professional networks, GitHub, patents, and publications, and recruiters using Pin fill roles in an average of 14 days.

Nick Poloni, President at Cascadia Search Group, ran Pin as a solo recruiter:

“I jumped into Pin solo toward the end of 2025 and closed out the year with over $1M in billings during just the final 4 months - no team, no agency. The sourcing data is incredible, scanning 850M+ profiles with recruiter-level precision to uncover perfect-fit candidates I’d never find otherwise. Best of all, the outreach feels genuinely personalized and non-generic, driving sky-high reply rates where candidates even thank me for the thoughtful messages.”

Juicebox AI Pros and Cons: Where Does It Fall Short?

Across Juicebox AI reviews, the cons stack up after the search: metering, plan gating, rising prices, and a largely solicited G2 record. The one consistent pro is natural-language search. Here is how it rates by area, based on the reviews and pricing above.

Data freshness⚠️ MixedBroken GitHub links (G2, July 2026)
Nontechnical roles⚠️ WeakerG2 reviewer, June 2026
Natural-language search✅ Good for quick searchesTop pro in TA TechScape’s 2025 review

What praise exists centers on search: TA TechScape’s March 2025 review lists “Natural language search simplifies candidate sourcing” as its top pro. Even that pro has limits in practice. The February 2026 Product Hunt commenter previewed about five pages of candidates and found only about three potentially suitable.

The open questions concern results outside tech, what it costs to act on them, and how much of the workflow sits outside the tool. Recruiters who distrust automated matching altogether sometimes pick a human-curated sourcing model instead, trading volume for vetting.

How Accurate Is Juicebox’s Candidate Data?

Juicebox’s candidate data is uneven outside technical profiles, and contact data covers only part of its index. Its own data-sources documentation says “over 200mm profiles have contact data available” (checked September 28, 2026), roughly a quarter of the 800M+ profiles it advertises. G2 reviewers report broken GitHub links, occasional fake or duplicate profiles, profiles with far less experience than the search asked for, and thinner results for nontechnical roles. TA TechScape reached a similar conclusion in 2025: “Outreach is limited by the quality of email data.”

People move constantly, so a database that isn’t refreshed goes stale fast. U.S. employers logged 5.1 million separations in July 2026 alone (BLS JOLTS, 2026), and median employee tenure stood at 4.1 years in January 2026 (BLS, 2026). Pin’s matching holds up in practice: 83% of the candidates it recommends are accepted into customers’ hiring pipelines, per Pin’s 2026 user survey. Whatever tool you test, measure deliverability on your own roles and compare results against audited contact-data vendors.

How Should You Test Juicebox Before Signing?

Software buying goes wrong often: only one in three buyers adopts new software successfully, while two-thirds hit disruption, regret, or both (Capterra, 2025). A short trial protocol catches most of the complaints above before they cost a year.

  1. Ration the free trial. It ends for good after 5 searches (tweaking a filter counts), 65 profile views, or 5 credits, so test your hardest nontechnical role first, where G2 reviewers see weaker results.
  2. Count the contact credits each hire consumes, remembering that a phone reveal costs 3 credits.
  3. Price the agents you’ll realistically run at $199 each per month, on top of seats.
  4. Get included features in writing, especially ATS sync and hiring-manager seats.
  5. Plan for recruiter number six. Growth stops at five seats, so ask what Business costs, and what it includes, before your team grows.

Juicebox Reviews Verdict: Is It a Good Recruiting Tool?

Juicebox is hard to recommend for a growing recruiting team. A paying customer says the demo oversold the plan, Growth costs 81% more than it did in April 2024, each agent adds $199 a month, and the Growth plan stops at five seats. Juicebox AI reviews tell a consistent story: a G2 record that was almost entirely seller-invited as of July 2026, and a pricing model that meters every step after search. Teams that need phone numbers, more than five seats, or several agents will feel each ceiling. Trusted by 2,000+ organizations and 20,000+ users, Pin covers the same search-first workflow with bundled agents and flat one-credit contact lookups. At 4.8/5, it’s also the highest-rated AI recruiting software on G2.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Juicebox AI good?

Not for growing teams. Its natural-language search is good for quick first-pass sourcing. But Growth caps at five seats, each AI agent adds $199 a month, and a paying Business-plan customer wrote that the sales demo didn’t match the subscription. A solo recruiter should also compare Pin’s Solo plan, which costs the same $99 a month billed annually and includes two AI agents and one-credit phone lookups.

What is Juicebox (PeopleGPT)?

Juicebox is an AI candidate-sourcing platform whose PeopleGPT search lets recruiters describe a candidate in plain English instead of writing Boolean strings. Users reveal contact data with credits, send email sequences, and can add paid AI agents. Plans run from a custom-priced Business plan down to Starter at $99 per seat a month billed annually, with AI agents extra on every paid plan.

Is Juicebox legit?

Yes, Juicebox is a real, venture-funded Y Combinator company. Sequoia led its $30 million Series A (TechCrunch, 2025), and DST Global led an $80 million Series B in March 2026 (Pulse 2.0, 2026). Funding hasn’t made it cheaper for buyers: Juicebox raised its monthly Starter and Growth prices that same March.

Does Juicebox include phone numbers?

Not on Starter, according to the comparison table on Juicebox’s own pricing page, even though the Starter plan card lists “email + phone.” On Growth and Business, each phone reveal costs 3 contact credits versus 1 for an email. Pin prices a phone number at 1 credit on every plan, including Free.

What is the best Juicebox alternative for recruiters?

Pin is the best Juicebox alternative for recruiters who want AI sourcing without per-agent fees. At 4.8/5, it is the highest-rated AI recruiting software on G2, and it charges 1 credit per email or phone number. Professional includes two AI agents per user with no seat cap, and the full field is ranked in this guide to Juicebox alternatives.
